Umida Solieva is a PhD student at the Central European University's Environmental Sciences and Policy Department. Her research focuses on environmental awareness in Central Asia by analyzing the stakeholders' perception differences.
Before joining CEU, Umida worked in governmental organizations as an environmental and social safeguards specialist in Uzbekistan where she was responsible for monitoring the compliance of projects with governmental and international financial institutes' legislation, instructions, standards and norms of social and environmental protection.
