Tuition and Financial Aid

For information about MESPOM finances please consult the MESPOM website.

Potential MESPOM applicants are advised to visit also other sections of the MESPOM website for more information.

During your studies as a self-financed student you may benefit from a CEU Erasmus+ Study Mobility funding (which is possible to extend for few months in the thesis period as well) or Internship Mobility funding. They are administered by the Erasmus Office of CEU

The tuition fee details for the MESP program can be found here.

CEU may offer financial aid to highly qualified candidates. Financial aid is awarded on a competitive basis and may include full or partial tuition fee waivers and full or partial living stipends. The CEU website on Financial Aid and CEU Master's Scholarships should be consulted for details.

We advise you to check also the the External Scholarships site of CEU and the searchable database on Austrian grants.

CEU provides several grants for enrolled students, including travel and research grants with 4 deadlines/academic year (in 2023/24: October 5, 2023; January 4, 2024; March 7, 2024; May 31, 2024)

Travel grants can contribute to the cost of traveling abroad to attend academic conferences (travel-related costs, conference fees, accommodation and administrative costs).
Research grants may also be used for thesis related research.

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy is also providing short-term research grants to its students to support research by Master’s students (MESP as well as 2nd year MESPOM), normally during the thesis period. The deadline to apply is around February/March each year.

Please contact the Department Coordinator with your grant requests.
