Year of Enrollment:

My PhD work is an attempt to contribute to understanding of complex urban system resilience to various catastrophes and crises that attack critical infrastructure and services.

I study how availability and accessibility of facilities affect resilience of communities during floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, industrial accidents, and terrorist acts. To assess resilience, I use methods of geographic information systems and network science.

I worked at the New Economic School, Centre for European Policy Studies, Food and Agriculture Organization, Central European University, and International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.
