Kyle is Ph.D. Student in Environmental Science and Policy at the Central European University. His current research in highland Mexico is on cultural heritage food initiatives and the conservation of milpa and chinampa agriculture. This research is situated at the convergence of food studies and political ecology frameworks. Before coming to CEU he was a research grantee with Fulbright Chile, where he researched the imagining of foodscapes through participatory sense-of-place mapping exercises on the Archipelago of Chiloé.
