Establishing an integrated state of the environment reporting and outlook system for Afghanistan - a workshop in Kabul co-facilitated by Professor Pinter

March 11, 2019

Laszlo Pinter and Bilal Zadran just returned from Kabul, where Professor Pinter co-facilitated a workshop on establishing an integrated state of the environment reporting and outlook system for Afghanistan based on the approach of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO). Bilal presented a case study on the country’s forest sector, which will also be the focus of his thesis, based on the driving-force-pressure-state-impact framework. The meeting was organized by UN Environment and the National Environmental Protection Agency of Afghanistan and established the foundations for an action plan.
