My doctoral research analyses the feasibility of rapid energy transitions to mitigate climate change.

I am affiliated with the international research group POLET, where we investigate various aspects of this field asking "We know how to save the climate in mathematical models. But can we do it in the real world?".

Additionally, since 2019, I have been physically based at NewClimate Institute in Cologne to closely examine the role of state policies in accelerating energy transitions.

Before starting my PhD, I worked as a researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies in Japan, where I conducted research on the climate and energy policies of major economies and participated in international climate change negotiations as a national delegate of Japan.
