Summer schools at the CEU Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy in 2010

In the summer 2010 the CEU Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy organises in Budapest two summer schools in the framework of the SUN - CEU Summer University:

The school on Ecosystem Vulnerability to Climate Change: Methods for Assessment, Observations, and Forecast is co-organised with the EC TEMPUS project "Improvement of education on environmental management". 

The school will include a number of sessions covering various aspects of ecosystem vulnerability in relation to climate change, modeling, observation and assessment tools, scenario building, implications for adaptation management and policies etc. The sessions will be led by some of Europe’s best experts, who also will be available for help and advice. By the end of the course the school participants will be expected to develop and present paper proposals to be completed in cooperation with fellow participants after the school ends.

The school on Sustainable Human Development is policy-oriented. It is co-organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The school’s faculty includes distinguished experts from UNDP Bratislava Regional Centre and CEU.

Young academics and sustainability professionals are welcome to apply. The application deadline is March 1, 2010 for the "Ecosystem Vulnerability to Climate Change..." school and February 15 for "Sustainable Human Development".
