Department faculty, Brandon P. Anthony, publishes landmark study with South African National Parks.

Based on collaborative work with South African National Parks and livestock farmers, this study co-defines program success including project goals, objectives and indicators for a wildlife damage compensation scheme at Kruger National Park. This is the first published study worldwide where livestock farmers have helped to define measures of success for a compensation scheme.

Diane Matar (PhD Candidate, year 4) publishes a case-study on Resilient people, resilient nature: Protected Area Management Effectiveness in Lebanon in the first international e-book on Protected Areas Governance and Management. The case-study presents and discusses efforts in Lebanese Biosphere Reserves - Jabal Moussa and Shouf - to meet the international standards of management and evaluation.
