ISEPEI Brings Eye on Earth Summit to CEU

In October, environmental thought and action leaders worldwide will convene in Abu Dhabi for the Eye on Earth Summit 2015 to collectively address the global challenge of increasing access to information to support sustainable development and to tackle some of the world's most pressing environmental issues.

Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) professionals from all over the world have gathered at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest this week for a joint ISEPEI and UNDP "Innovations in Disaster Risk Management" workshop. Rastislav Vrbensky, the Director of the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub for Europe and the CIS opened the workshop on Monday July 13th along with Margaret Bolter of CEU and course directors Viktor Lagutov (CEU) and Armen Grigoryan (UNDP).

Water Professionals Convene at CEU for "Bridging ICTs and Environment" Course

Water practitioners, academics, and decision-makers from Iran, Jamaica, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and beyond are convening at CEU in Budapest for the ISEPEI "Making Information Talk and Technologies Work for Water Security" workshop this week, July 6-10. Run in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and with support from the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI), this workshop features faculty from leading UN agencies, global environmental institutions, and the ICT industry, including UNEP, the Black Sea Commission, and Google.
