Dr. Mariann Sz. Molnár defended her dissertation titled "What is the right thing to do? Perspectives on the 'moral imperative' and the 'ultimate goal' of farm animal welfare in Hungary" at the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Alexios Antypas.
From Canada to Europe to Sri Lanka to southern Africa, MESPOM alumna (2018) Anita Lazurko talks about her journey studying climate adaptation and transformations to sustainability in multiple cultural contexts. She is currently back in Canada for a PhD at the University of Waterloo and was a recent recipient of the prestigious Trudeau Scholarship Award. We are very proud!
Souran Chatterje, alumni PhD student and Diana Ürge-Vorsatz professor of our department co-authored an article together with other colleagues from different institutions on their research on co-benefits of energy efficiency. The open-access article was published in Energies as part of the Special Issue Electricity Demand Side Management and is available online.
Dr. Yolanda Ariadne Collins defended her Dissertation titled “REDD+ Unravelled: A Discursive Analysis of Neoliberal Forest Conservation in Guyana and Suriname” at the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy in May, 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Guntra Aistara.
