Are you curious about what types of ecologically and socially conscious food movements are active in Budapest?

We invite you to take part in a panel discussion on the current status and future opportunities for local, organic, and community food system development in Hungary. Our discussion will explore the role that food producers, local businesses, decision makers, and consumers play in transitioning toward more sustainable local food systems, and what forms of cooperation show the most promise within the current and future food landscape.

Our discussion will feature Gabor Bertenyi, founder of Haziko, an innovative catering company using only ingredients directly sourced from local producers, Katalin Szolvicsak, representing the Biokultura Alliance, Hungary’s Organic Agriculture Advocacy Organization, and Tünde Udvarnoki, representing the Szatyor Association, a citizen-driven conscious food community in Budapest. The discussion will be moderated by Guntra Aistara and Logan Strenchock.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening.
