On 15th February 2012, the Department of Environmental Science & Policy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC), which will promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of wildlife through the joint work of CIC and the Department. After brief talks by Prof. Brandon Anthony (CEU), Mr. Tamas Marghescu (CIC Director General) and Mr. Bernard Loze (CIC President) on the positive role that ethical and sustainable hunting can have in conserving biodiversity, the MoU was signed, which paves the way for student research internships, seminars/lectures by CIC experts, and collaborative research.
