My PhD work is an attempt to contribute to understanding of complex urban system resilience to various catastrophes and crises.
Before entering the doctoral programme, I was the economist in the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, focusing on international trade, food security, and value chain development. My assignments in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, North Macedonia and the Republic of Moldova involved field investigations with intensive desk work. Our team's recommendations on improving agribusiness environment for small farmers were adopted in countries' official agendas and development strategies.
Technical skills I have include data analysis in STATA and Python, and spatial analysis and mapping in ArcGIS and QGIS. I currently learn systems modelling in Stella and NetLogo.
